Admissions
We're Glad You're Here
A closer look at our school
We are proud to be the only private non-profit Montessori school in the Okaloosa County area. We serve children aged three through the third grade, with plans to expand to the fifth grade. We are glad you have chosen to look further into our school and hope you will begin the application process with a tour of our school. This allows you to see first hand the whole-child approach of the Montessori education. Our admission process is created to give you a clear sense of our program and to give us the opportunity to get to know you and your child a little better. We have a non-discriminatory admissions policy and we seek a diverse group of children and families who are interested in and committed to Montessori education. Get acquainted with the Montessori environment by taking a tour of the school. Please call today to set one up, 850-244-1775.
Keeping our costs down
The Montessori Learning Center is a private secular based form of education. We are the only private Montessori in Okaloosa County and offer outstanding education at a lower rate than our competitors. We strive to keep our tuition costs down and have several fundraisers throughout the year in order to make this possible. We are often asked why our primary program is 5 days a week. The traditional Montessori classroom experience is for five consecutive days in order to allow the spontaneous learning of the child to flow smoothly. A child taken in and out of school every other day does not have the same opportunity to pursue unfolding interests. Our tuition fees are based on a ten (10) month school year, holidays included.
Tuition at Montessori preschools throughout the country is sometimes higher than other schools because of the extensive materials, encompassing environment, curriculum, and trained staff. It is, however, a very reasonable cost in contrast to other activities that you would plan for yourself or your child. It becomes a matter of what you value most. To give children the finest possible experience in their most sensitive years is to give them a strong foundation throughout their lives. Many educators believe that it is just as wise to invest in a child’s primary education as it is to invest in his college education. The child who enjoys learning and becomes self-directed at the critical early learning ages will benefit through all of his years of learning. The expense now is a profitable long-term investment!
